Metal Straightening

Occasionally, some heat treatment and manufacturing processes can cause parts to naturally warp. To combat this, Thermal Modification Technologies maintains straightening presses with up to 100 tons of force to rectify these errors. These presses allow us to mitigate damage and return parts to their original shape without compromising the quality or durability of the product after heat treatment.

Clamping Press

Clamping, or tempering, is another type of press that is used to straighten metal components. This controlled hardening process uses the force between clamping plates to hold flat or round parts while they’re being tempered. This force greatly reduces the distortion that can happen during heat treatment, allowing these parts to meet required tolerances.

Thermal Modification Technologies utilizes both straightening and clamping presses to ensure that parts meet both quality and tolerance requirements once we’ve heat treated them.

Ensuring quality

In addition to our facility full of heat-treating processes, TMT performs these and many other auxiliary operations to ensure the quality and accuracy of the products we treat. Our goal is to help you streamline your production process, and deliver quality products to your customers on time and ready for use.
